This literally wouldn't have happened if vince would let other people actually help! good god this was a great server but the owner killed it himself. so vince don't be blaming "personal issues" the fact is that you simply wouldn't change things. and because of it the server failed. so if by some chance that you somehow see this then take a hint! get your shit together and reboot!

Great, i was myself thinking about making one. But it's much easier to get other to do it (and getting into java/scripting would take some time) Razz

From what I've read I should be able to set up a 5-10 player server that will run pretty smoothly lol

It's not normal minecraft, it's a special open source version of it (minecraft pi).

No, you can host a normal vanilla mc server on it. The only real limitation is the amount of RAM you can dedicate to it.

It will most likely going to be a vanilla server with some plugins (lockette, towns, worldedit, etc...), simply because i know how badly minecraft handles custom stuff and modifications (and not to mention the time it takes to update all of the plugins).

So screw the PI server, my friend has a permanent server and is willing to allow some of us on there. The server is 100% pure vanilla though. Griefing/stealing is not allowed. Is anyone interested?
